HELP Save A Freaking LIFE

Hello people of the world :)
wait are we suppose to talk formally here???
okay moving on.
On the 2nd of november, we will be selling badges or buttons.
Project name: Save a Life.
Main Objective: Create awareness about polio
Sub-objective: Raise funds for polio vaccines


*Polio or infantile paralysis, is an acute viral infectious disease spread from person to person, primarily via the fecal-oral route. Individuals will experience acute onset of flaccid paralysis in one or more limbs with decreased or absent tendon reflexes in the affected limbs, that cannot be attributed to another apparent cause, and without sensory or cognitive loss.


I am in charge of this project.
Well i am trying to come up with short and catchy phrases to put on the button.
Anyone out there who can help me think of one?
The phrase should be a maximum of 5 words.
I would really appreaciate it! Post ur ideas at the chat box

Upcoming Cfield Installation

Hear ye Hear ye !

SMK SEAFIELD
will be having their Interact Installation for the Bod of 2009/10 !!
Date : 5th September 2009 (Sat)
Place : SMK Seafield
Time : 12.30 - 5pm
Price : RM15
Clothes : Club Uniform

All BOD members are extremely encouraged to come, and please give your names to Daphne or Audrey so we atleast know how many members are going. Tickets can be purchased on that day itself, so you don't have to worry :)

Meeting with District Governor

Today after school, most of us rushed back home and got ready and headed off to Sunway Resort Hotel ! A total of nine b.o.d members came from SMK SS17. So we started of with going through the reports once more and having a light briefing before the presentation.


Soon our sister school Interact b.o.d's started to arrive and everybody was obviously in black. It looked like we were going to attend a funeral or something you know? haha



Finally we all headed up to the 10th floor and saw the amazing view from above. we could even see the stage for the upcoming MTV thing this saturday. Haha most of the schools were once again gathering in groups and discussing about their own projects.


Finally, we entered the meeting room and sadly, the place was rather small and we all had to squash like sardines and extra chairs had to be carried in. The District Governor, Leslie was there and we soon the presidents from each school introduced themselves.


The presentation started off with SMK SS17 and ended with SMKSU. So many different projects were being presented such as the themes of upcoming IU Days, carwashes at school, fund raising for POLIO, trips to SPCA or Homes. After everything, Mr. Leslie gave some suggestions and soon closed the meeting.

There was a big massive group photo after that but I missed it.

Upcoming Meeting

Hey all board members of Interact SMK SS17!!

There's gonna be a meeting with the District Governor soon. Attendance is compulsory! If you really can't make it, please either inform Audrey or Daphne with your reason.

Appreciation !

HELLO !

Since Audrey had already posted up what happen today, i just wanna say a big thank you to all my board members who made it today. It was a success thanks to all of you. Eventhough there were some complications but we made it through in the end.

I may not be the best president, but i will try my very best. And this year, we`re gonna do things the right way and still have fun while doing it. Everyone makes mistakes, and so if i make any mistakes, or already had, forgive me. If i raise my voice or in any way offended any of you, i shall apologise in advance. I just hope that this year, we can all work together, to bring a better change to our club. Lets all look forward to all our upcoming projects.

P.S : My secreataries ! I know paper work is hard, let me know if you need help :)

ILTS 2009

Today, Interact Leadership Training Seminar 2009 was held in our school. Our three other sister schools came too which were
1) SMK Seafield
2) SMK SU
3) SMK Bandar Sunway


Woke up at 5 in the morning and Daph and I started cooking and faced the porcupined sausages of death. They poked like a million holes in our fingers. Thankfully, our load was lightened when Michelle and Annesha both came to help out although we were almost done.


Finally, everything was finished!! We quickly loaded the car with all the food and got out of the car 10 seconds later. hahaha. It was only 10 seconds drive to school.


Then, the other school members started arriving. SMKSU was so sesat. They came one hour earlier. Which made us all panic and thought we were late. Hahah. Then when everything was settled, all of us headed up to 5 SK 1 for a light briefing.


After the light briefing, it was refreshments! There were fried meehoon, sandwiches, the porcupined sausages, chipsmore and the best fruit punch ever! Hohoho. Made of sugar, spice and everything nice :D With some accidentally added chemical X.


We then split up into our respective posts into six different classrooms and were taught by the rotarians about our respective roles, the dos and don'ts of Interact Club, and what we should plan by when and all those little details.


After that we all combined back together and some got the chance to share about the short seminar that they just went through. What they learned, and what they would thrive to become after this.


Finally, we took one big fat photo together. We somehow managed to squeeze every single person into this photo except the photographer. Then ILTS 2009 officially ended and everyone headed home after taking a million group photos after that. Not to forget, exchanging namecards were happening left, right, front and center haha.


Of course, SMK SS17 too took many group photos. I wanna thank every single person who made today a success even from doing small little things like stacking chairs and cleaning the place up. Especially my president, Daphne Khoo :) for not stressing up as much as I did hahaha!


Sadly, there was so much fried meehoon left :(
